iPod Video Battery - replacement for 30GB 480mAh + Tools Kit
This iPod battery replaces the battery that came with your iPod photo. If yours has stopped holding charge, this battery will give your iPod a new lease of life! If they’re used regularly, it’s not unusual for iPod batteries to wear out after 18 months or so. This battery actually has a higher capacity than the original iPod batteries, so you’ll be able to use the iPod for much longer without having to recharge.

Look sharp and get a grip. The Leatherman tradition for exquisitely made pocket tools has received another significant boost with the arrival of the Kick!, a slimline 10cm device crammed with an array of handy implements that even the Swiss Army couldn’t do without. The Kick! is a full-featured tool, chock-full of innovation, including a straight-knife, no fewer than three extended screwdrivers (including the ultra-useful Phillips head), a bottle opener, needle-nose and regular pliers, a wire stripper and more. And to help you keep a firm handle on affairs, the Kick! comes complete with patented Zytel(r) grip to give you the firmest of firm holds. It’s even got a 19cm ruler on the outside, just in case you need to measure the length of your own cleverness at having made the wisest of wise investments. And if that’s not enough, the chaps at Leatherman have gone a step further, providing - no, insisting - you have a 25 year warranty, which is about the length of the average mortgage here at HQ. So even after our houses are all paid off, we’ll still be able to do those tricksy DIY tasks with the same tool. Wonderful.

Customer Review: tops!!!!
this is a great book for the beginner, i’ve just got my new home and this manuel has been invaluble,i’ve tiled sanded and painted all under the advice of this book, recommended for new enthusiasts and excellant for a constant source of refernece, god bless readers digest….ace
Customer Review: Think before you buy !
Whilst I agree with the other reviews, this book is getting out of sync with improvements that have happened in DIY since first publication and keeping up with the spate of DIY programmes on the media. It badly needs a new updated issue with some new features like - the breed of new flooring products growing around us - what is best to buy and how to fit it. The new generation of powered tools - jigs, biscuit jointers, routers etc, then the new types of electrical installations .. new type hobs/oven/multifunction microwaves, new kitchen lighting techniques etc. Maybe a complete section on how best to fit a new kitchen and a new bathroom with all the mod con’s.. there are very little books on seperate projects like these - a money spinner no doubt for someone keen to jump on this bandwagon. All in all def a book for every shelf as the major parts do not age. Excellent pictorial approach and clear understanding.

Imation Disc Stakka - CD/DVD Management Tool

December 5th, 2007

Imation Disc Stakka - CD/DVD Management Tool
Never waste valuable time searching for discs or files again. The Stakka is an automated carousel which stores, protects and retrieves 12cm optical discs including data CD’s, DVD’s, music and game discs.

Customer Review: Can go wrong just when you urgently need a disc
I bought a second one of these unfortuantely because I too was initially impressed with my first one. Howver, soon after buying the second one, I started having to open both of them to retrieve discs that the device couldn’t find - they lose track of where the discs are. Worse still discs regularly get stuck inside and can’t get them through the gate to eject. This is commented on now by many owners.

Opening up the device is a pain and once you open it you have to take all the discs out and put them back, one by one, which takes ages. The fact that I have two machines which don’t work, indicates that its not just one defective unit.

Finally, obviously don’t put any boot up driver discs in it for your computer because if your computer won’t start, you can’t access the discs!

To summarise starts off well but will let you down badly just when you need that important disc quickly! Anyone want to buy mine?

Customer Review: Good product if a little fragile
As storage devices these are excellent, though as others have pointed out they can be a little fragile, of the 5 I have one has been replaced and one is heading that way, as others have pointed out if it could connect via the PC to the www and pick up the details of the disc this would be a massive plus though I guess somewhat expensive.

I must add that I have found the support team very helpful when I have had the need to contact them.

When it comes to ‘thinking outside of the box’ the inventor of this state of the art gadget must surely have been working overtime. Unlike its contemporaries the handles on this model are detachable - is that clever or what? And in doing so it creates greater flexibility when using individual accessories. Another innovative feature is its reversible spring-loaded head. Fixed in one position it’s a conventional pair of pliers; reverse it however and you have a series of wire-strippers plus a grommet fixer. Consider for a moment its full range of functions:- 1) pliers 2) wire-stripper and grommet fixer 3) wood saw 4) screwdriver stub 5) screwdriver 6) file 7) opener 8) blade 9) six driver heads - pretty impressive eh? And as if this in itself were not enough each handle is fitted with a safety lock and the whole set fits neatly into a belt-fixing woven pouch.

Customer Review: A surprisingly good read, but will need supplementing
This book is great fun to read because it is written so much in Alan's own voice - you can just hear him reassuring, joking and encouraging. I'm really glad I bought it, but I warn you that you are likely to need a more encyclopaedic book too, as a back-up to this. At first it seems pretty comprehensive, until you try to use it as a reference. For example, I've just bought some freesias, and some anemones (bulbs), but when I looked for them in the index there was no mention. If you are a keen gardener, I strongly recommend you try to get hold of AGL Hellyer's “Your Garden Week by Week” which is very old, and bossy, but covers more. (Of course for a non-calendar approach there are lots of good reference books to choose from .)
Customer Review: From a gardening numpty!
Really! When it comes to gardening i truly havent got a clue. Having spent vast amounts (now having an actaul whole real life garden now, and large one at that!) on gardening books trying to figure out what i'm supposed to do and when and with what i got this book from that lovely bloke….Uncle Alan. I now have a rough idea when spring is! The detailed check lists of monthly task's is a real brilliant for your average gardening plonker, fantastic pictures and how to's. Uncle Alan reasurringly pats you on the back all the way through and supplies you with the how to's, when's and why's including ideas etc. I will be combining this with Cassells gardening encyclopedia i think it's called, and have all the information me, your garden plonker information she can really work with. Go on, get the book, you know you want it!
