Hama PC Tool Kit (Professional)
Customer Review: All the essentials
This is a very nice kit to start off with. The included screwdrivers and ratchet kit cover the common sizes found inside a PC, although bizarrely they’ve included more Torx bits than anything else. Picking up extra bits for the driver should be a piece of cake, though. The magnetic attachment for the ratchet is a godsend, frankly. The pliers and tweezers make light work of those fiddly motherboard headers and the wire trimmers may well come in handy. By far the best thing in the kit is the odd little three-prong grippy widget, which proves itself to be much better than pliers or tweezers at fishing small objects out of odd places.
My only real problems with the pack are the IC remover (beginners shouldn’t need one an experts know they shouldn’t use them) and the torch. I was hoping for a cheap-and-cheerful LED flashlight but instead there’s a translucent purple incandescent torch which looks like it came from a christmas cracker. I’ve got an LED light handy anyway, but a little bit of consideration would’ve rounded out the kit nicely.
Customer Review: Excellent for around the house not just for computers
I bought one of these when I was to have a go at building a PC but it has become indispensable around the house for all sorts of jobs - at this price you won’t regret it!

Customer Review: Misleading in the extreme
If you want to join a militia and support the loony right in the US this is the book for you. It spends lots of time telling you how bad the local officials are and very little telling you about building or joints, etc. A very big disappointment.

Customer Review: Everything You Need
I’ve been building a shed/home office this summer (2003) and this book inspired me to do it. After looking at loads of flimsy ready-built sheds and summerhouses and finding them a bit depressing considering what they cost, I visited the Alternative Technology Centre in Wales and decided there and then I could build my own from scratch. This book gave me the confidence to go ahead: the pinnacle of my DIY achievements before this was putting up shelves. The plans are clear and well drawn and give plenty of scope to modify. Stiles shows you how to do just about everything, including making window frames, sliding shutters, wooden catches and other trimmings. My own shed is based on Stiles’s basic shed, but taller, longer, and with a veranda of my own design for weather proofing and to give it a “Western” look. I’m almost done now and I’ve enjoyed every minute: my shed is incredibly solid, good-looking, and weatherproof, all thanks to this book. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Good for ideas, needs a little more detail on construction
The book gives the reader a lot of good design ideas for various sheds/barns/outbuildings. The Irish Garden Shed is particularly interesting. The only thing that appears to be missing is a little more detail on construction. A few photos may have assisted. However, the projects appear to be well within the capablities of most competent DIY enthusiasts with a few weeks to spare !
