Customer Review: A great piece of kit
I have recently purchased one of these and they are fantastic, it alllows me to link my phone to my PC and use the internet/e’mail on the move. I have alo go the added advantage of using my laptop for texting. If your mobile is bluetooth compatible and you have a laptop. This is an essential purchase it’s great and not only can you actually use your laptop on the move you can back up your telephone numbers in case the worst should happen and you lose your phone.

Diary of an Eco-builder
List Price: ?14.95
Amazon Price: ?10.47
Used Price: ?8.27
Customer Review: Don’t be put off by the title
This is a really lovely book that can be read cover to cover or dipped into when the mood takes you. I’m a self builder, eco-building anorak and know-all, but still found loads of inspiration in these sumptuous pages. The author has a refreshingly rigorous approach to sustainable design combined with, IMHO, a great visual design sense that made me re-think a number of my assumptions. Issues are explored and uncertainties are aired and I hope there is a follow up that builds on the lessons learned. Whether you are a weekend DIY dabbler, serious self builder or ‘Grand Designs’ dreamer, buy this book, it’s a bargain and also makes a great present.

Duracell Plus 9V x 2 Batteries
9V, 2BP, 9V=MN1604=6LR61
List Price: ?3.97
Amazon Price: ?2.99
Customer Review: More powerful than the average
I really have noticed that duracell 9 volt batteries last longer and provide more of a shock to my tounge than most 9 volt batteries. They are also hardwearing, not that this is particularly important for a battery, but there are some cheap ones that break basically from falling on the floor! These batteries managed to power a range of electrical appliances in my house, and that is all I`m asking of them. Let`s face it: batteries are basic, and with these ones perfection is almost there. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because they are not rechargable - simple as that. Mind you, I wouldn`t spent too much effort trying to buy these online - most good convenience stores stock these, and deffinatley all hardwear shops, so if I were you, I would just get out there and get them by hand.
Customer Review: Brilliant
Duracell produced these to provide power to certain electrical goods. They provide power to certain electrical goods. Basically, you can’t expect much more from a battery

JCB SDS60 Screwdriver Set 60pc
Amazon Price: ?8.99
Customer Review: fantastic bargin
I bought this set from Amazon sometime back and never really got to use it until now.The quality is good when screwing or unscrewing you can feel the firm grip on the screw as you twist, hardly causing any ware on either the screw head or driver head, however the driver heads are painted black and you will see the paint coming off eventually .The fantastic assortment of drivers to choose from is jaw droping for DIY fanatics. The only gripe I would have is that they should have included a stubby flat screw driver as they only include a star one,hey but for the price you can’t really complain JCB almost got this one right, and at an AMAZING PRICE from AMAZING AMAZON.All I can say is get your self a bargin before the price goes up.
Customer Review: just ok on price basis
i purchased this set because i had a few screwdrivers but not a full set i thought the case looked good quality but when i opened it one of the screwdrivers fell out and would not stay into the space it was made for (perhaps i should have returned it) i thought overall for the price it wasn’t too bad.

The Allotment Book
List Price: ?17.99
Amazon Price: ?10.31
Used Price: ?6.89
Customer Review: It’s okay…
If, like me, you need an allotment book which assumes you know v little, but have already made the decision to work an allotment, don’t necessarily put this book at the top of your list. i didn’t need a chapter telling me why people have allotments. i didn’t need recipes. i didn’t need to know that someone has been labeled “the queen of herbs” by jamie oliver. i didn’t need a page on bees. i need a book that allows me to look up raspberries, rhubarb, potatoes, courgettes, or whatever, and be directed to a page with everything i needed to know about those fruits/vegetables, plus a section that outlines everything i need to plan for each season. the latter section is here, and it is *almost* acceptable, but it assumes too much prior knowledge. if, like me, you didn’t pick up a lifetime’s worth of gardening tips from your ancient relatives, e.g. you don’t know exactly how to “force” a vegetable, how to prune, etc., then this book isn’t the one you need. fair play to the guy - it probably does have a large audience and it’s good value for money - but it isn’t being marketed at its real audience.
Customer Review: Great for new allotmenteers…
..I got myself a plot on an organic farm ealrier this year. Apart from growing the odd thing whilst I grew up, I was starting from scratch. This book doesn’t go into great detail about every plant, but it isn’t an encyclopaedia of allotment plants so it isn’t to be expected. It does give excellent important notes for plants though and contains information about the whole allotment experience. There are photographs galore to inpsire allotmenteers, the calendar section has been a godsend to newbies like me, and the recipes section is great too (my wife used his carrot cake recipe and it was gorgeous! Thanks Heather!). He gives advise on companion planting, composting, storring your harvest, and many more essential matters. I learn’t a lot from reading his book, you can really feel his passion for growing fruit and veg, and this rubs off onto the reader.
