Mind, Body And Spirit - Meditation Tools - Water

Mind, Body And Spirit - Meditation Tools - Water
Meditation Tools Water is intended to work as a meditation tool kit to relax and sharpen the mind. It opens promisingly with a view of secluded land from a barge, punctuated with the quote: “All memories and expectation exist now… because now is all there is, and only now.” Perspective shifts from what looks like a barge journey through a river, to gushing water, rain falling on water, hazy images gradually becoming focused and the reflections of trees in water.

Then it’s back on the barge, with the impression of you the viewer steering that barge. Indeed if this was a computer game it would probably be more effective in training the mind to meditate. But in isolation, as with the others in this meditation series, images are not enough. The photography would have made evocative cinematography, indeed towards the end there are some stunning images including purple flowers by a riverbank. But what’s missing to make this work is a narrative of some sort, rather than random quotes. –Lorna V

Customer Review: Dyson Mattress Tool
OK, so a vacuum cleaner tool is nothing to get excited about…but this tool is surprisingly useful! I used it to vacuum under the sofa cushions and was amazed at the amount of dust, hair and fluff it picked up!! Oh…and I found a few pound coins, too ;-)
Customer Review: Does what it says
I saw this on Amazon and thought why not. We have a Dyson (DC14 Animal), and so an extra attachment to add functionality sounded good. Basically it’s similar to an attachment we already had, but is about 3 times wider. So it sucks up more in less time. When changing the sheets I thought I’d try it out on our matress and protective cover. They appeared cleaner after passing over (but it’s hard to tell with grey/beige), and you could see more dust in the Dyson, so it must have done something! I wouldn’t say it’s a must have, as you could do the same with the standard accessory (taking much longer). It’s good to see you can get these bits at reasonable prices - and since they fit all Dysons you could lend it to friends/family to use as well.

Customer Review: Outdated and crudely cobbled together.
I was shocked at just how outdated this publication is! It looks like a re-print of some archaic School book from the 1970’s. Everything is crudely set out (No Photoshop here, doubt PC’s even existed when this was first published!) with small grainy photo’s which are often difficult to make out. The text is also unusually large and very sparse throughout, meaning there isn’t as much info within it’s 236 pages as you might expect. Some of the materials used are also referred to by their brand name, and as this is an American publication, very few of the products or their equivelant are available here in the UK. My honest opinion, avoid! Save your money and invest in a copy of ‘The Mouldmaker’s Handbook’ By Jean-Pierre Delpech & Marc-Andre Figueres. This covers every aspect of mouldmaking and casting with clear and consise information, illustrations and photo’s.
Customer Review: Brief overview of contents, and How the book helped me.
Whatever you want to know about molding and casting is probably in this book. How to work with Plaster, urethanes, resins. All nicely illustrated.Everything about mould making, all about casting materials. From the simplest to the most complex. The book even has a section on how to vacuum mould.Even how to get yourself set up in the beginning.I started doing moulding and casting for a hobby, but now I am actually making some money from it ,and having a great laugh at the same time.Previously I had no experience or tools, but this book has proved ideal. 5 Stars.

Mind, Body And Spirit - Meditation Tools - Forest

Mind, Body And Spirit - Meditation Tools - Forest
As Meditation Tools–Forest begins, you may think they’ve repackaged Meditation Tools–Sky into a forest by adding a few trees. Featuring the best soundtrack in this series of meditation tools, this journey develops from clouds and the tops of trees, to a deeper forest, to denser foliage, accompanied by intriguing sounds of birds. But whether it’s likely to enhance one’s meditation is debateable.

Unfortunately there isn’t enough to make this so compelling that you wouldn’t stop the video to answer the telephone, get up to make a cup of tea, or go and load the washing machine. If your intention is to learn how to relax this could be beneficial as it will inspire you to go for a walk to the park to be with some real trees instead of staring at them on a TV screen for 45 minutes.

Encouraging meditation–the practice of emptying the mind–through a video format requires a strong focus to keep the viewer hooked and meandering through trees just isn’t enough. –Lorna V
