Customer Review: Where it all began
Its hard to believe the band that composed Lateralus wrote this isnt it?! This is mostly an intelligent old skool metal album, but with a unique Tool twist. The live recordings are amazing quality. This is an angry, angst ridden EP, and well worth the money, even if its only 6 songs. It is an awesome foundation for things to come. And it contains songs that rank among Tools very best: Cold and Ugly, Hush

PRAISE FOR FASHION DIY FROM TODAY’S HIPPEST DESIGNERS

“For me, fashion has always been about evoking a mood –– whether it is intellectual, romantic, or both simultaneously––and Carrie Blaydes and Nicole Smith have isolated a myriad of different moods that we can all relate to. The art school skirt, my personal favorite, could work with a Victorian blouse and create a cool, brainy-gal look. Or, paired with a simple tank, the same skirt tells a bohemian story.

In Fashion DIY Carrie and Nicole have addressed an enormous scope of different styles. Offering advice on how to achieve the easy elegance of a swing blouse, as well as the conversational Falling Leaves Scarf. These two ladies have made style and craft blend into a simple and accurate endeavor. They have created the perfect recipe for a Fashion DIY.” —Alice Roi

“What sets Fashion DIY apart from its counterparts is its refreshingly methodical approach to such a creative art, including practical guidelines and focused questions for the reader, offering strategy for beginners to better manage what can sometimes be quite a daunting endeavor. And while it covers all the necessary basics of embellishment, Fashion DIY is surprisingly inventive, employing the use of recent technologies in the creation of fun and legitimately unique additions to traditional alterations.”

Customer Review: Worth it
This is a lovely book. Deals with stuff to wear. Ten techniques are explained (trimming, beading, colour manipulation among others) and then three projects for each technique are given, each progressively more advanced. I’d wear everything in this book. Cool ideas, stylish and hip without being unwearable even if you’re quite conservative. No jeans turned into skirts here.

Tweezerman’s famous Slant Tweezer is the finest tweezer you can own. Perfectly aligned, hand filed tips grab the hair everytime. Hand polished Stainless Steel. How To Use: Tweeze in the direction of hair growth. Tweeze after shower or use a hot towel to open pores. Use slant side for general tweezing. Flip the tweezer to use the high side of the slant edge for precision work. When finished, use cold water or astringent to close pores. Wait five minutes before applying make-up. Care: Wipe tips clean after use. Always replace protective cap on tweezer tips. Caution: Do not drop tweezers. This can damage the tip and throw tweezers out of alignment. Note: Spring tension can be increased by gently pulling the two halves of the tweezer apart. Once you have increased the spring, you cannot decrease it. Do not drop tweezers. This can damage the tip and throw tweezers out of alignment.

Funky, punky, heartfelt and witty. Ian’s poetic (and very british) observations on life and gritty vocal/pre-rap deliveries were taken to the heart of all that could be described as human. You (should’ve) or will love him every step of the way now, if you didn’t before. God bless him. The Blockheads complemented Dury perfectly and backed him with a humour and precission that is as classic, dynamic and as tight as a gnats arse today as it was way back when, with a completely natural ease that still comes over. The Blockheads understood funk, disco and reggae as well as they understood their customary pub-punk-rhythm and blues. And that really is saying something as they where truely top of their game in that genres heyday. This is a splendid set of songs that still holds together in the cohesive, highly entertaining and soulful uniqueness that it was and still is. Fantastic stuff. Do it yourself. Buy this album. Put it on, have a laugh, do the screamers dance and smile.
