I have never had a weather radio before, but I am glad I bought this one. This is a better model than the less expensive one because you can program it for alerts in your area only. You can get weather alerts for your area, and set the alarm to go off for specific problems. It is easy to program and easy to read. You will like this radio.
Customer Review: Must Have For Tornado Alley!
We recently moved back to Oklahoma from Minnesota this past spring. The very 1st day that the movers were pulling out of our new house, the tornado sirens went off in NW Oklahoma City. Not having satellite TV yet, and only having a little radio, I was terrified. I stepped out my garage door to see the F-3 funnel about 2-3 miles west of my home. I immediately jumped into our newly built storm cellar and prayed to God!!! Ten minutes later, I was on Amazon purchasing of of these fine inventions. It may SUCK to be woken up by the loud alarm, but at least I have advanced warning that a tornado is on its way and that my family and I have a great chance of survival. For less than $60 it was a small price to pay for piece of mind. This weather radio has all of the alert types and it can be adjusted to individual tastes and individual counties. It is fairly easy to program and does what it’s supposed to do… save your life and forewarn you! I highly recommend this and I also recommend buying these before spring as receiving it took almost a month.

Discovery did much better with seasons 1-3, these new sets leave much to be desired, and at $5+ per episode, the price is steep. Come on Discovery- you can do better than this!!!!!

Customer Review: Battery Magic
I just bought this battery to replace the two original batteries, so I’m really reviewing the originals. They held up for four years with moderate (read “homeowner”) use. I think that’s exceptional, since I’ve read that getting just two years out of these batteries is good. Although I’ve had some trouble with Black & Decker battery chargers, the batteries themselves have performed better than expected. If the one I just bought does as well I’ll be thrilled.

Lowes sales this 18V in 2-battery-per-package for $36 only. The lowest price I have found.
