The finished garments in this book are so badly made that it makes you realise that any attempts that you make at making your own clothes can’t be as bad. Seriously, save your money and give this book a miss!
Customer Review: Home sewing with a difference.
This book is aimed at new sewers, and really I would suggest teens, however a lot of the information contained with in translates to any sewer at any age. It starts off with the basics: hand sewing and machine sewing, needles, buttons, mending etc. All the useful stuff that everyone should know whether a sewer or not!! Then it goes on to spend a lot of time talking about changing current clothes using these techniques to make them more fashionable today, as well as a little section on sewing areas. Then basically the rest of the book is around projects for you to have a go at. If you’re creative then the projects will be of no use to you, but the general sewing information at the begining of the book is useful for everyone.
