DIY Live Rock - Make Your Own! 
The modern reef aquarium tends to utilize a more natural form of filtration to maintain the best water quality. This is typically a combination of live sand and live rock from the ocean. Unfortunately, real live rock is quite expensive, $5 to $10 per pound, and the recommended about is about two pounds per gallon of aquarium. This can easily cost hundreds of dollars. In addition, harvesting real live rock can do damage to out precious coral reefs.
This manual describes how to make your own live rock from common materials found locally. It makes a great family project, helps protect our coral reefs and best of all, only costs about 25 cents per pound to make!

Mind, Body And Spirit - Meditation Tools - Water 
Meditation Tools Water is intended to work as a meditation tool kit to relax and sharpen the mind. It opens promisingly with a view of secluded land from a barge, punctuated with the quote: “All memories and expectation exist now… because now is all there is, and only now.” Perspective shifts from what looks like a barge journey through a river, to gushing water, rain falling on water, hazy images gradually becoming focused and the reflections of trees in water.
Then it’s back on the barge, with the impression of you the viewer steering that barge. Indeed if this was a computer game it would probably be more effective in training the mind to meditate. But in isolation, as with the others in this meditation series, images are not enough. The photography would have made evocative cinematography, indeed towards the end there are some stunning images including purple flowers by a riverbank. But what’s missing to make this work is a narrative of some sort, rather than random quotes. –Lorna V
