Customer Review: All the essentials
This is a very nice kit to start off with. The included screwdrivers and ratchet kit cover the common sizes found inside a PC, although bizarrely they’ve included more Torx bits than anything else. Picking up extra bits for the driver should be a piece of cake, though. The magnetic attachment for the ratchet is a godsend, frankly. The pliers and tweezers make light work of those fiddly motherboard headers and the wire trimmers may well come in handy. By far the best thing in the kit is the odd little three-prong grippy widget, which proves itself to be much better than pliers or tweezers at fishing small objects out of odd places. My only real problems with the pack are the IC remover (beginners shouldn’t need one an experts know they shouldn’t use them) and the torch. I was hoping for a cheap-and-cheerful LED flashlight but instead there’s a translucent purple incandescent torch which looks like it came from a christmas cracker. I’ve got an LED light handy anyway, but a little bit of consideration would’ve rounded out the kit nicely.
Customer Review: Excellent for around the house not just for computers
I bought one of these when I was to have a go at building a PC but it has become indispensable around the house for all sorts of jobs - at this price you won’t regret it!
