Customer Review: Astounding.
Reading some of the “if you can appreciate it” “if you can understand this”, “I would’nt recommend this to start off on Tool, you should try aenima” ..etc etc has prompted me to do so. There is no ideal place to start with Tool, just start. This album is heavy, if you don’t like heavy rock/metal you probably won’t like this. If you have an inclination to listen to this type of music then I cannot recommend this album highly enough. The music is amazing, nothing technically difficult in the guitar/ bass playing lots of polyrhytmic drumming, which is excellent. The album is a rollercoaster ride, musically and lyrically. Soft sudddenly becoming heavy. Maynard is a great singer and his lyrics are mind blowing, if a little cryptic. Perfect if you like philosophy. The lyrics are not in the liner (go to the band website for these)…which is all Alex Grey paintings, again if you like spirituality and philosophy. Musically and Lyrically this album is one which will encourage you to think. Should you choose to do so. You could just as easily “headbang” to it. As for coming to a conclusion on what it all means….well thats entirely up to you. The Individual. This album is stunning…try it (Listen to it a few times and you won’t be able to stop). Then go see them live. I doubt you’ll be let down.
Customer Review: Another amazing Tool release
When I bought Lateralus i had incredibly high expectations for I owned all the other Tool albums and loved every single one of them. Unlike 10,000 days, Undertow and Aenima Lateralus didn’t grab me instantly and i had to listen to it once or twice before i really got into it. Lateralus is a very progressive and complex album so you can expect plenty of time signiature changes and lengthy songs. My favourite songs off the album are the epic Lateralus itself, the combine Parabol-Parabola song(s) and then probably the Grudge but every song on the album is at least very good if not amazing. I would definatley recommend this album to anyone who is capable of appreciating it. 9/10

Customer Review: Your own plumber available 24/7!
This is a musthave book. As a keen DIY plumber,I am constantly looking for ways to improve my knowledge of central heating and hot water systems as well as fault finding and diagnosis, and this book hits the nail firmly on the head. Within 20 minutes of owning my copy I had resolved a problem that had been nagging for several weeks! The spiral binding is also a godsend, particularly when you’re in the loft or the airing cupboard!
Customer Review: An excellent reference
This taught me loads of things I had expected to learn on my NVQ course but didn’t - and some of it was new to the tutors as well!! (Backfilling a sluggish system saved me hours of frustration with radiators that wouldn’t fill). This book pulls together a lot of very useful information from various sources, combines it with a practical approach to diagnosis gained from years of experience, and puts it all together in one place in a logical, structured way. It really “does what it says on the tin”, basically covering in some detail: 1) What Central Heating is 2) What can go wrong with it 3) How to diagnose the fault 4) How to repair it Fault finding diagrams are v. useful. This book will be invaluable for DIYer and professional. Okay, if you’ve been in the business for 40 years you probably know all that’s in here (and more), but then you wouldn’t be looking for a book like this, would you? To the rest of us, buy it now and keep it in the van!!
